History
Taste is located in the former Sportman's Club on Main Street Plymouth. The Sportsman was know for wild dice games, one of which lead to the shooting of a bartender in the street out front in the 1940's. Dice haven't been thrown in this bar since then. Times have changed in Plymouth and with the addition of over 35 wineries to the region the need for wild and wooly bars has declined and the need to good food to accompany the world class wines produced in the region has become paramount. Owners, Mark and Tracey Berkner spent 1 1/2 years renovating the 100 year old building from the foundation to the rafters. Ask to see our pictures when you visit. Taste was created to provide our guests with fresh seasonal food, a great place to stop for a bite or a full dinner after wine tasting or to celebrate a special event. We have received numerous reviews and awards from ZAGAT's highest rating for the Sacramento region to Top 100 Wine Restaurants in America.
Specialties
Taste specializes in fresh seasonal food. Our Mushroom Cigars have been on the menu since day one and we think there would be a mutiny if we took them off. The service is knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to make your dining experience memorable. Taste serves lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 to 2:00.
