The Tamalpais Community Services District provides municipal services to nearly 2,600 households in the 508-acre Tamalpais Valley. Those services include sewage management, refuse collection and recycling, management of community parks and putting on a wide variety of recreation and community events and classes. The district also manages programs and rentals at nearby Tamalpais Valley Community Center on Marin Avenue.
General Manager Jon Elam oversees district operations, and the agency is governed by a five-member board of directors, which meets on the second Wednesday of each month at Tam Valley Community Center. The board includes Steffen Bartschat, President; Jim Jacobs, Vice President; Linda Johnson, Board Member; Gretchen Stagg, Board Member and Jeff Brown, Board member.
