Founded in 1977, Submarina Sandwiches was the brain child of two former U.S. Postal Service workers who had trouble finding a sandwich shop in San Diego. The shop offers a refreshing alternative to the larger Subway chains, serving California-style submarine sandwiches, salads, wraps, soup and chips.
Deli meats and cheeses are freshly cut in front of the customer to produce a fresh, hearty sandwich. Toppings such as sprouts and avocado and sides such as potato salad and chili make Submarina different from the other sub chains.
Limited outdoor seating is available.
