Sturge Presbyterian Church is located in San Mateo, 2 blocks north of 3rd Avenue on Humboldt Street. The facility offers mass in English and Japanese (one service delivered in a combination of English and Japanese, one service delivered in English only, and one service delivered in Japanese only). The church was founded in 1925 by Dr. Adolphus Sturge out of the Congregational Church in San Mateo. Its mission is to reach out and support Asian-American families by providing a place of worship and community resources. Sunday School is available for kids from pre-school age to high school. The church even has a special education Sunday school program.
