History
I started my real estate career managing apartment buildings in San Rafael and San Anselmo in 1999. After I realized how much I liked my job it was a natural transition to become a Realtor, so I got my license in 2000. I quickly learned that helping buyers wasn't about making a sale, but was really about having the patience to help them find the right home for the right price. Working with sellers was about expert marketing, getting the property properly presented prior to hitting the market, and identifying the best list price. Prior to working in real estate I opened and ran a successful clothing boutique in San Francisco for thirteen years, called Behind The Post Office, where I developed the good listening and interpersonal skills that have helped me be successful as an agent. Being a good Realtor takes a certain amount of skill and confidence, but it's important to find one who not only loves what he does but also cares about his clients.
Specialties
My wife, who grew up in Marin, lured me out of San Francisco back in 1999 and I've never looked back. It didn't take much coaxing to get me to leave The City after I saw what Marin had to offer. We wanted to start a family and Marin was the perfect place to be, with excellent schools and a lot of young families like us. From being the birthplace of Mountain Biking to the unlimited access to open space and hiking trails, Marin is about nature and a great quality of life, and the sunny weather means you can enjoy the outdoors most of the year. We lived in Novato, San Rafael, San Anselmo and finally settled in Fairfax, where we really like the proximity to a groovy downtown and the other families we have met there have become lifelong friends. With more than twenty years experience as a Realtor in Marin I always strive to provide the qualities that I would want in a Real Estate Agent: honesty, a strong work ethic, and clear communication.
