Stanford Home for Children is a nonprofit charitable organization that provides a wide variety of community-based services for more than 1,500 children and family members annually. The organization was founded in 1900 and is located in North Highlands, Calif. It offers a wide variety of services, including foster care, vocational, therapeutic behavioral, counseling, juvenile justice, and research and development. The organization s vocational services provide career preparation, and prevocational and vocational skills training for at risk youth, older siblings and adults through a variety of individualized services. Additionally, it has a donors club and provides online donation facilities. Stanford Home for Children is approved by the California Alliance of Child and Family Services, a statewide association of more than 200 private nonprofit agencies.
