History
The Stair Climb for Los Angeles began in 1993. For over twenty years, the Ketchum-Downtown YMCA has hosted this premier athletic and fundraising event to benefit the community in and around Downtown Los Angeles. Supporting programs like pre-school education, after-school care and enrichment, as well as teen programs and scholarships for members, The Stair Climb for Los Angeles allows climbers to engage with their community in a unique way.

The Stair Climb for Los Angeles is Downtown LA's premier fundraising race event. Participants climb the U.S. Bank Tower, boasting the tallest stairwell west of The Mississippi, and raise funds to support the life changing community programs provided by the YMCA. This Friday event is a great opportunity for companies to build camaraderie. Spectators, and climbers alike enjoy our Hope Street Block Party throughout the day, bringing together Downtown LA's business and residential communities. If you're bored with the usual 5k, challenge yourself to take the stairs, and rise to the top, at the Stair Climb for Los Angeles!
