The First Baptist Church on Main Street, down the road from City Hall, has a large campus which includes an attached Christian Creative Learning Academy preschool, and plenty of parking. This church is part of the Southern Baptist denomination. Sunday worship service takes place in the morning at 10:20am with Bible study at 6pm. A prayer meeting is held at 8:15am on Sundays followed by Koffe Klatch (complimentary coffee, tea and snacks) at 8:45am. Sunday school begins at 9am, and Wednesday evenings are reserved for the Awana Boys and Girls program. Women's Bible Study is each Monday at 6:30pm and Men's Bible Study is held on Thursdays at 9:45am. Tuesdays Tag Team takes place at 6:30pm. Youth's meet on Thursday at 6:30pm. SPICE (Special People In Christian Enthusiasm) is held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, which includes adult fellowship and potluck. The church also has a Facebook page.
