St. Anne's Catholic Church is a fixture in the Pico neighborhood of Santa Monica. The chapel was founded in 1908 by Father Patrick Hawe, and the church is more than a single house of worship. The grounds also contain a school, a pavillion and a Catholic community center. The church itself is a historic building with a classic statue of St. Anne in front, and it holds weekly mass in Spanish and English. The Church lobby is adorned with a colorful bust of Christ, wooden furniture and carpeting; the large shrine is colorful with stained glass and polished pews.
