South Gate Parks & Recreation, located in South Gate, Calif., is a more than 95-acre park that includes a variety of sports facilities, including baseball diamonds, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, shuffleboard court, basketball and handball courts, golf, and a sports center with an Olympic-size pool. The park offers a variety of classes, recreational trips, and offers picnic grounds, a clubhouse and a 3 par golf course that provides lessons. Every season, a wide variety of classes, recreational trips and other activities are available through the department. The department is also home to a clubhouse that offers a range of activities for senior citizens. The city of South Gate also hosts a Web site for residents and offer information about its facilities.
