David L McDuffie Attorney at Law
Mr. McDuffie handles every kind of criminal case, whether it's a felony or a misdemeanor. His fees are reasonable. If you are facing criminal charges, give Mr. McDuffie a call and set up a free consultation. Mr. McDuffie was born in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, where his parents served as medical missionaries for several years. His father, a physician who always dreamed of working in the mission field, opened a hospital in Ngwa, Nigeria where he provided medical services to the local people. When his term was completed, Dr. McDuffie moved his family back to the States. Finding a small community in which he could continue his mission driven service, Dr. McDuffie and family settled in west Ventura County, opening his medical practice in Port Hueneme, California. After graduating from Newbury Park Adventist Academy in 1980, Mr. McDuffie went on to college at Loma Linda University where he received his Bachelor's degree in music. He then went on to study law at Pepperdine University School of Law. Shortly after graduating from law school, Mr. McDuffie began practicing in Ventura County with a small firm that concentrated civil litigation, business litigation and family law. It didn't take too long until Mr. McDuffie decided to open his own office where he handled the same kind of cases. He soon learned that the field of criminal defense law was where he truly found the most enjoyment and satisfaction. As a result, his practice is now solely in the criminal defense area. Mr. McDuffie literally spends each and every day (Monday through Friday) in the Ventura County courts. If he's not in his office, he's probably in court handling a client's case. He is dedicated to those he represents. Mr. McDuffie enjoys a good relationship with the attorneys who work in the District Attorney's office and, as a result, is able to get his clients good results. He also has the respect of the judges in Ventura County and likewise has a good working relationship with them. Nevertheless, he knows when it is necessary to be aggressive in presenting a client's case before a court.
