History

The Sly Park Environmental Education Center was established in 1970 on 150 acres in the Eldorado National Forest. When the federal Job Corps ceased operation, its facility near Pollock Pines--with classrooms, dining hall, and sleeping quarters for 130--was secured by SCOE.
