Established in 1999 by Dr. Richard Cornel S. Rhee, Shepherd University was founded to educate Korean immigrants in nursing, music, information technology, theology and language. The mission of the school is to teach men and women to be leaders, serve the church and improve the world through Christian higher education. The University features a 30,000-square-foot main campus, a 45,000-volume library and a computer lab with seventy-five personal computers.
