History
MCE Solar Charge, MCE's 10th local renewable project is an example of MCE's mission in action. Built by a local workforce, the 80kW PV solar system powers 10 Level 2 EV charging ports that are open to the public at MCE's San Rafael office. The solar array supports up to 10 charging sessions at a time and offsets electricity usage at MCE's adjacent office building. MCE Solar Charge was built by Marin-based American Solar Corporation with charging stations funded in part by Transportation Authority of Marin and Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
