History
Shaanti Yoga ) started in 2013 as a small concrete floored room where local Lake Forest residents gathered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for a community yoga session. While the room was quite sparse, it was filled with a warm and loving community of people learning to practice yoga. In summer 2014, the owners renovated the studio (no concrete floor anymore!), expanded its leadership team, and re-opened with a full schedule starting on September 2nd, 2014. The studio now caters to members at all levels, abilities, and interests, while also maintaining a tight-knit, supportive community where the instructors know everyone's name.

Our approach to the practice of yoga focuses on allowing each person to discover their authentic practice. At Shaanti Yoga, we carefully select instructors, each of whom has completed advanced training and has many years of experience teaching at all levels, from the athlete seeking to gain an extra edge in performance to those working with physical limitations (including, but not limited to, pregnancy and post-pregnancy). Everyone can find a safe, fulfilling, and empowering practice at Shaanti. We offer a variety of yoga classes e.g. vinyasa flow, gentle, stretch, restorative, yin and prenatal.
