John Schwaesdall owns and operates this winery, using grapes from vineyards that were planted in the 1950s. It is situated among the giant granite boulders for which Ramona is famous. The tasting room is open weekends from 10am to 6pm, and visitors can sample Schwaesdall's Ramona Red, Cabernet Chalk Hill, merlots, zinfandels, ports and many other varietals. The winery also carries wines by the Ramona Winery. The Ramona Vietnam War Memorial is located on a clearing in the vineyard on the south side of Highway 67 and Rancho de Oro Drive.
