Rancho California Water District is a local, independent special district. Functioning under the Division 13 of the California Water Code, the water district offers various water, sewer and reclamation services residents and communities in Temecula, Calif. The district has been operational for more than 40 years. Rancho California Water District serves more than 45,000-acres of land. The district provides supplemental imported water in cooperation with the Eastern Municipal Water District, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and Western Municipal Water District. It maintains more than 50 wells, 13 booster stations, 17 reservoirs, 36 chlorination and sample stations, and over 170-miles of water main pipeline and a complex pressure-reducing network. Additionally, the district offers various water conservation and outreach programs, analysis of well and water consumption, and replacement services for high-flow bathroom fixtures, showerheads, aerators and toilets.
