History
Since 1887, Santa Barbara Humane Society has served the animals and people of Santa Barbara County as a local non-profit. There are not chapters of the national humane society, but rather groups of organizations across the country who used the name to signify their dedication to a positive outcome for animals. With campuses in Santa Maria and Santa Barbara, donor support funds programs and services which enable the organization's work to reflect the individual needs of Santa Barbara County.
