Established in 1968, San Marin High School offers a college preparatory curriculum to more than 1,100 students in grades nine through 12. It teaches various subjects, including English, mathematics, American history, science and technology, French, Spanish, computer science, health education, applied technology, visual and performing arts, and physical education. The school also offers career guidance and individual and group counseling sessions for students. It has athletic teams for baseball, cross-country, basketball, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, volleyball, wrestling and tennis. The school offers various extracurricular activities for student, including knitting and crocheting, speech and debate club, yearbook, arts and crafts club, creative writing club, Gay-straight alliance, key club, and weightlifting and conditioning club. Located in Novato, Calif., San Marin High School is a part of the Novato Unified School District.
