Peninsula Interfaith Action (PIA) is committed to finding solutions to local social problems by putting the values of democracy and diverse religious traditions into action. PIA helps people create affordable housing, youth community programs, better neighborhood schools and improved economic opportunities. With training and support from PIA, local people can change in their communities. In San Carlos, PIA has provided youth programs, community centers, and resources to improve education. PIA is a membership organization open to congregations and religious organizations of any faith, non-faith-based organizations who share PIA's mission to improve the quality of life on the San Francisco Peninsula through faith-based community organizing.
