History
The Chamber of Commerce was first incorporated in 1980 as Rancho Bernardo Chamber of Commerce. Since its inception, the chamber has strived to support and advocate on behalf of businesses in the northern communities of San Diego. In 2005, Rancho Bernardo Chamber merged with Diamond Gateway Chamber of Commerce to form San Diego North Chamber of Commerce. Continuing with its original mission, San Diego North Chamber became further dedicated to encourage economic growth throughout the area. In 2009, SD North Chamber gained regional stature and the area of coverage grew to encompass many of the cities and communities of North County San Diego. In its current capacity the chamber reaches over 800 business throughout North County and advocates for businesses on a local, regional, state, and federal level. In 2014 the Chamber re-branded itself with a new logo, name and look. It became North San Diego Business Chamber in May of 2014.

Only 10 chambers in California have earned accreditation, and 3% of chambers nationwide.
