The San Bruno Public Library provides free library services to residents. As the only location in the city, the library houses two stories of books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and VHS tapes. In addition to checking out those items, patrons can check out laptops and renew their books online or through SMS text messaging.
The library has a magazine reading area, computer terminal and a vast children's section that holds weekly story times for kids. The library also provides a number of online services, including downloadable audiobooks, consumer and research databases and a contract with tutor.com, which offers real-time online tutoring for children.
Any Bay Area resident can get a San Bruno library card, and it can be used throughout the entire Peninsula library system.
