Six families started this community in 1935, showing that the dream of a few could become a reality for many. The Sunday preschool for ages 3 to 5 introduces the children to the Biblical God, and it works with parents to lay a solid foundation for religious education. The school began in 1947. Grades preschool through eighth grade are taught by a dedicated staff of 60 professionals; this parochial school focuses on a faith-based education with strong links to the community of Manhattan Beach. The children are actively engaged in public service from kindergarten through the time they leave eighth grade. Over the last 58 years, 3,471 students have graduated from the school.
