Owners Wendy Brucker and Roscoe Skipper opened Rivoli in 1994, modeling it after the trattorias and bistros they enjoyed in Italy and France. Chef Brucker's food has been featured in several cooking magazines, as well as The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. Rivoli currently has a 27/30 rating in Zagat, three stars in the San Francisco Chronicle and is recommended in the Michelin Guide. The food is seasonal, local, fresh and mostly organic and sustainable.
