HistoryOur business was started by our Grandmaster, Master Ki Dong Lee, in 1989 after he moved from Korea to the United States. Before instructing his own school, he taught in military bases in Korea and Rancho Cordova's own Mather Field Air Force Base. After instructing the military, Grandmaster Lee shifted his focus to passing down his knowledge and Taekwondo and Hapkido's values to families and the next generation. He passed his knowledge down through his own family and now his son, Master Alex Lee, runs the school in Rancho Cordova.SpecialtiesGrandmaster Lee and his son, Master Alex Lee, have spent decades developing a program to train martial arts for all ages. While many people first hear of TaeKwonDo from watching Olympic sparring, not many have heard of other traditional Korean art forms such as Hapkido. At our school of martial arts, we teach students life long self-defense techniques, stressing the importance of fitness, and instill values such as respect to all, modesty, courtesy, and perseverance.
