History
In 1979 I was recruited by Stanford University to be the director of the Burn Unit at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. In 1982 I opened a private practice in Los Gatos near Good Samaritan Hospital. During my first 15 years of practice I travelled with the Interplast organization 4 to 6 weeks every year to Latin America to do cleft lip and palate surgery. In 1992 I moved my office to nearby Campbell in the Medical Arts Building. Over the years I have enjoyed mentoring young plastic surgeons and have strived to set the highest standards for our profession. In 2011 Dr Kamakshi Zeidler joined my practice. Trained in Plastic Surgery at UCSF and fellowship trained in breast reconstruction at Stanford, Dr Zeidler brings a new dimension to our practice and has infused us with new ideas and enthusiasm for the future of our profession. I have enjoyed caring for over 10,000 patients in my career and look forward to more years of improving people's lives to the utmost of my ability.
Specialties
Deciding to make a change in your appearance should be a positive experience. Whether you are seeking aesthetic or reconstructive surgery, the results will not begin and end with your reflection in the mirror. They are far reaching and influence how you think about yourself and how others see you. For Dr. Berkowitz, it is important that, above all, the plastic surgeon is a good physician-giving attention to the whole patient and his or her physical and psychological needs. Diplomate, American Board Of Plastic Surgery Member of Rhinoplasty Society
