Pleasant Grove High School, home of the Eagles, is a part of the Elk Grove Unified School District. Opening in 2005, Pleasant Grove joined the ranks of the other seven high schools in the district. The school offers many extracurricular activities such as sports, band and FFA.

Golden Empire Elementary School

Golden Empire Elementary School prides itself on its academic merits and teaching methods like the Open Court Language Arts and Saxon Mathematics programs. The school has been recognized as a U.S. Blue Ribbon School, California Distinguished School and California Title I School. It features tutoring and intervention programs, as well as an "Eagles' Nest" after-school literacy program for first- though third-grade students. The school also features a computer lab with 35 computers, as well as a school garden.
