Pasadena Rosebud is a charter school that was opened in 2006. The academy is focused on a traditional academy with a strong emphasis on linguistics. The school's founders believe that providing students with an educational experience rich in linguistics instruction gives them a superior foundation in reading, comprehension, writing, critical thinking and problem solving. The school relocated to the Loma Alta Elementary school campus in the fall of 2011.
The school also focuses on real-life skills such as financial literacy and instruction on political structures.
The academy is located in a small building on Fair Oaks Avenue and has an outdoor play area.
The school has a parent-guided summer program that helps maintain contiguity in students academic life. Teachers also expect students to read regularly and to fill out a log that will ensure that they are doing their home reading assignments.
