Located in Bakersfield, Calif., Fred L. Thompson Junior High School is a part of the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District, which has a total enrollment of more than 15,700 students in over 20 schools. The school has a staff of approximately 40 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals who provides classes in English, math, science and social studies. Fred L. Thompson Junior High School s staff consists of an academic counselor, nurse, psychologist, library media teacher, and speech, language and hearing specialist. It maintains a library media center that houses a collection of more than 10,000 books and supports the accelerated reader program. Established in 1967, Fred L.
