History
My professional journey toward becoming a therapist started in early 2000s as a volunteer on a crisis and support line for elderly folks. From there I decided to pursue formal education and training in the field of counseling at San Francisco State University. Of the various trainings I received what influences me most is: relational psychoanalytic theories, somatic psychology, feminist theory, social justice, and Buddhist psychology.
Specialties
I tend to work with folks who in some ways have identified as outsiders in their families, communities, and the larger world. I work with people who carry their hurts, wounds, and traumas close to their hearts and are deeply impacted by the world around them.
