Gerry Blanck's Martial Arts Center has been located in Pacific Palisades for more than 25 years training martial artists in Yoshukai Karate, kick-boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and self defense. The dojo is owned and operated by Gerry Blanck, a seventh-degree blackbelt and former world champion kickboxer. Karate classes are available six days a week for kids ages 3 1/2 to 5 years old, kids ages 6 and up, teens 13 and up and adults for white belt all the way through black belt. A viewing area with plenty of seating for parents sits next to the dojo, separated by large windows. Some video games and a foosball table are also available in the viewing area. The studio also features a shop where students can purchase workout clothes, gi's, belts and other karate accessories. The wall inside is lined with signed photographs of the many celebrities and professional athletes that have trained with Blanck. Karate camps for kids are held here, and the space can be reserved for karate-themed birthday parties.
