Palisades Montessori Center follows the philosophy of Maria Montessori in early childhood education and development. Programs for toddlers, preschool and pre-kindergarten children are offered for half-day and full-day schedules. Extended care is also available until 4pm.
The curriculum involves five areas of study: practical life, sensory, math, language and cultural studies. Enrichment and extracurricular activities include music, Spanish, art, dance, gymnastics, drama, piano, cooking, gardening, outdoor play and field trips. In addition, programs and events are held throughout the year for holidays and cultural events. The small facility is housed in a building originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
