Old Poway Park was the dream of Army Colonel John S. Porter, who settled in the city in the mid-1900s. Over the years, he acquired historic buildings to fulfill his dream and later, the City of Poway completed it.
Old Poway Park consists of the City's first Assembly Hall, the Baldwin Steam Engine, its rail, and an 1894 Yellow Trolley, among other buildings.
The park is complete with picnic areas, a weekly farmers market, special events throughout the year and historical tours. Facilities are also available for rent.
