The PGA, Professional Golfer's Association, of America was originally founded in 1916 and is the largest sports organization in the world. The organization works to promote the game of golf through spectator events, training, philanthropic activities and promotions. Here at the Riviera Country Club, a private golf course and club, a team of PGA professionals are on hand for training and events held here. Todd Yoshitake serves as the PGA Director of Golf at Riviera Country Club. The club has a world-famous golf course, and is part of the Southern California Section of the PGA. Also known as "Hogan's Alley" after golf pro Ben Hogan, Rivera Country Club has hosted the 1948 U.S. Open, the 1983 and 1995 PGA Championships and the 1998 U.S. Senior Open.
