History

Seiji Horibuchi founded VIZ Communications in 1986, the first publishing company in the U.S. specializing in English translated manga. Kamikaze Girls, distributed in 2005, is the film which caused Mr. Horibuchi to seriously consider starting a film business like VIZ Pictures.
