The Nea Community Learning Center is an Alameda public charter school established in 2009. For the 2009-2010 school year, it served approximately 2oo students ranging from kindergarten to ninth grade. The school's philosophy is based on the highly regarded educational model of the Alameda Community Learning Center, a public middle and high school housed at Encinal High School. Nea's philosophy is based on nine core principals: courage, accountability, persistence, organization, problem solving, compassion, integrity, teamwork and cooperation.
