The Napa County Office of Education provides education planning for Napa County and is spearheaded by the leadership of Barbara Nemko, Superintendent of Schools. The office of education offers support in a variety of ways which serve the community of Napa, such as Student Services with Regional Occupational Programs; Juvenile Court and Community Schools; School Services with programs such as the Business Education Leadership Project, ed1stop for Teachers, and ed1stop for Families; Business Services division which provides a wide range of services to Napa County school districts and Napa Valley Community College; school and community partnership projects, offering after-school programs and foster and homeless youth programs; state and national projects, such as CalSERVES and California Services for Technical Assistance and Training. Since the first Superintendent was seated in 1855, the Superintendent's Napa County Office has a long history in the community.
