John Muir Charter School is a nonprofit institution that provides high school services to more than 35 California Conservation Corps, Sacramento Local Conservation Corps, YouthBuild and Job Corps sites around the state. It employs over 55 teachers and serves nearly 1,000 students at more than 30 locations throughout California. The school offers courses in English, health, physical education, computer literacy, life skills, world studies, economics, civics, applied math and physical science. It also offers various vocational, cultural and social opportunities. The school is approved by the Nevada County Board of Education. John Muir Charter School also offers various training and development opportunities for its staff.
