Mission Hills High School is a public, coeducational school that was founded in 2004 and enrolls more than 2,400 students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as science, social studies, foreign languages and mathematics. The school also offers gifted and talented education, English Language Learners and special education programs. It additionally offers a professional development programs for staff members. The high school is situated on a 44-acre former dairy land and features a wide-open plaza, outdoor amphitheater, library, theater, gymnasium, four interior courtyard spaces and classrooms. It provides opportunities to participate in a variety of athletic activities, including basketball, cross country, tennis, soccer, softball, cheerleading, and track and field. Mission Hills High School is located in San Marcos, Calif., and is a part of the San Marcos Unified School District. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
