Minority AIDS Project is a community-based, nonprofit organization that provides educational and HIV- and AIDS-related support services. It works to reduce suffering and deaths that are caused due to HIV and AIDS in African-American and Latin communities. The organization offers HIV and AIDS prevention education, testing, counseling, peer support, psychosocial assessment and home care services. It also provides case management, treatment adherence, housing, psychological support, needle exchange, medical and social service referral and emergency food services. The organization s HIV testing services are also administered to clients in several drug treatment programs. Minority AIDS Project has been operational for more than 20 years and is located in Los Angeles.
