The Millbrae Montessori school has three programs, each developed to nurture children's developing skills.
Pre-School: Children aged three to four are taught how to share with others in the classroom. There are several field trips, such as going to Coyote Point, Zoomobile and the Fire and Police Departments.
Pre-Kindergarten: Teachers provide a more structured day for kids aged four to five. Teacher stress basic reading and writing, and children go on field trips including a pumpkin farm and the library.
Kindergarten: Children five to six years old learn math, science, geography, music and art and continue to build on writing and reading skills. Students have weekly assignments to complete both in school and at home.
In addition to standard classes, children can also enroll in ballet, yoga, Spanish, Mandarin, or chess.
