The Salvation Army operates six senior housing communities in San Diego and Riverside County. One of these is the Silvercrest residential community located in the Sierra del Mar District. These homes are low-income options for seniors who still want to live independently, but may be on a tight budget. Special subsidies are available for those who cannot afford it or have a disability. Silvercrest has close to 600 units, and organizes recreational activities for their residents. There are people onsite to assist people with any issues they may have with their housing as well.
