Established in 1958, the Mental Health Association of Orange County is a nonprofit organization that serves adults with severe and persistent psychiatric disorders. The organization offers SSI benefit assistance, housing assistance, referrals and rehabilitation services, as well as homeless outreach, hearing advocacy, clubhouse and back-to-work programs. It provides intensive case management services to over 100 homeless people with mental illness. The organization also offers job skills development, peer counseling and personal growth services. It provides periodic trainings to its room and board operators. The organization s multifaceted program offers a variety of mental health services, including individual and group counseling, assessments, goal planning, crisis intervention, medical care and income development. The agency employs more than 85 people and serves over 14,000 individuals annually. It is located in Orange, Calif.
