Maybeck High School is a private, teacher-run school that was founded in 1972 in Berkeley and has been at its current campus since 2009. The school offers small classes lead in a seminar-style and begins each academic year with a school-wide camping trip.
With approximately 120 enrolled students, Maybeck High’s curriculum includes a Special Programs session every spring: students spend two weeks engaging in a specialized activity in their interest area such as sports, theater arts and international travel.
The school is located in the education wing of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, although it is not affiliated with the church.
