Located on the south side of Palm Desert, Calif., Marrakesh Country Club offers what it calls gracious living centered around a golf course. Many homes and every fairway enjoy a view of the San Jacinto Mountains. Marrakesh Country Club was originally developed in January 1969, on the land formerly known as Haystack Mountain Ranch. Golf course architect, Ted Robinson designed the 18-hole golf course. John W. Dawson, a former amateur golf champion, developed Marrakesh. He also developed Seven Lakes, El Dorado and Thunderbird Country Clubs, as well as Marin Golf Club and Silverado in Northern California. Marrakesh Country Club s complex of 364 condominiums is patterned after Marrakesh, the famous health and recreation resort in Morocco.
