Mangia Bene has served delicious contemporary Italian cuisine since 1996. In the past, this restaurant was called "The best kept secret in Martinez." The chefs make their own pastas, bake their bread daily, and offer homemade desserts such as Tiramisu and Creme Brulee. Other menu items include calamari steaks sautéed in lemon, white wine and capers, grilled fillet mignon topped with porto, cocoa powder and espresso sauce, butternut squash ravioli with sage butter sauce, risotto made with chicken breasts, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and parmesan cheese.
