History
MAKE Projects (Merging Agriculture, Kitchens + Employment) is a job training social enterprise that prepares refugees and immigrants to achieve their dreams. Our locally-sourced, globally-inspired meals are prepared from scratch daily by our job trainees and our menus explore their diverse cultural backgrounds as well as celebrate the abundant produce we have available in the San Diego area (including our very own urban farm!). Our customers can take pride in the fact that their business forms the basis for our training program - the production of our meals and dining experiences provide paid, real-world experience our participants need to prepare for entry into the workforce. All of our proceeds go back into our job training programs! We're open Fridays 10a-2p (coffee shop with free WiFi) and Saturdays 10a-2p (full menu, live music, and vendors). We're also available for private events and catering! EAT WELL, DO GOOD
