The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is one of the largest sheriff's departments in the world. It offers policing, law enforcement and crime prevention services. In addition, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department counters racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, homophobia and bigotry in all forms. The department operates detective, homeland security, administrative and correctional services, and custody and field operations divisions.
