Dr. Shen has been an acupuncturist and an herbalist since she graduated from University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Fujian, China, in 1986. She has worked as a physician-in-charge in Quanzhou First Hospital, an acupuncturist in pain management in Los Angeles, a professor in American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco and a provider of California Continuing Education. Dr. Shen has taught at Five Branches University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Santa Cruz since 1995. She currently teaches Chinese herbal medicine and supervises clinical practices at Five Branches University.
