History
Lisa Mikulchik holds a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. Initially a freelance advertising production artist for I. Magnin and other department stores, San Francisco design studios and projects such as catalogs, she also created posters for her friends: local bands, theater groups and other performers. Over the years she developed a roster of small to mid-size clients while continuing to donate her services to non-profits and grassroots organizations. She has been working as an art specialist for people with special needs since the late eighties while continuing to help businesses and organizations with their communications and marketing profiles. For several years she also worked with Pacific News Service on publications and New California Media (now New American Media) on creative development of advertising and communications for social marketing campaigns (for example, teacher recruitment) targeted to California's ethnic populations via a multitude of ethnic media outlets.
